Unfortunately falls and knocks occur quite commonly during netball games and the neck and head can be easily injured. One of the more serious injuries that can result from two players colliding is a concussion.

When treated properly and quickly, the problems associated with a concussion can be minimised, however, often people around the injured player do not recognise that a concussion has occurred or do not treat it correctly.

To help St Ives Netball members know what to look out for, we have a more detailed article on concussion in the netball section of our website. You can access this at any time to see what to look for and what to do, as well as a check list of symptoms to monitor if you suspect that someone has a concussion.
